Jon Stewart comments on Senator John McCain’s (R-AZ) ever-shifting goalposts regarding the repeal of “don’t ask, don’t tell,” the policy that bars gays from openly serving in the military. The defense secretary, the chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, the general who commands the Army in Europe–
all are calling for repeal. The Pentagon released a
study stating that repeal will not disrupt the military. The
majority of those in uniform support ending the policy. Regardless, McCain still isn’t satisfied. Stewart compares him to the Black Knight from Monty Python’s “The Holy Grail,” who refuses to accept the evidence of his senses. Watch:
