Remembering Billy Taylor

Pianist, educator, composer and jazz advocate Billy Taylor passed away on Tuesday at 89. The New York Times recounted Taylor's achievements and the PBS New Hour paid tribute. Taylor wrote more than 300 compositions, including "I Wish I Knew How It Would Feel To Be Free," one of the unofficial anthems of the 1960's civil rights movement. Above, Taylor and Monty Alexander perform a moving rendition of the composition followed by an exchange of "amens."
