Steve Brodner: The Lost Stories Of 2010

Watch the full episode. See more Need To Know.

Illustrator Steve Brodner focuses on issues that were consigned to oblivion in 2010, including global warming. While Brodner calls for “a wakeful 2011,” the Republicans intend to stay asleep on that issue. Under John Boehner, incoming speaker, the House Republicans will eliminate the Global Warming Committee whose purpose is to examine climate change and urge caps on carbon dioxide emissions. Who cares if the National Academy of Sciences in May called for an immediate reduction in greenhouse gases? The Republicans are more impressed with the opinions of the oil industry and the Tea Partiers. Regarding the latter group, one member based his climate change denial on the preaching of Rush Limbaugh and on Scriptures: “I read my Bible. He made the earth for us to utilize.” Another stated, "Carbon regulation, cap and trade, it’s all just a money-control avenue. Some people say I’m extreme, but they said the John Birch Society was extreme, too.”

Thank God for common sense that this riduclous and dishonest use of science for fraudulent purposes is finally being taken off the backs of the productive in this country...

The parasitic will just have to generate their own wealth...

Juandos, thank you for your thoughts and the link. Here are some more links and questions to consider:

1. Are the following major scientific institutions knowingly propagating a mass fraud? If so, are all the scientists associated with these institutions frauds?

2. Speaking of generating wealth, is it a coincidence that the Koch Brothers, billionaire owners of oil refineries, bankroll studies debunking global warming?

In a word, 'YES'...

BTW Mr. Tone can you cite the clause in either the Constitution or the Bill of Rights were it says the federal government can steal the wealth of individuals in order to finance these frauds you hold so dear?

Everyone of them want someone else's money for their own continued existence without actually having to compete in the real world for a job with their skill sets...

"Speaking of generating wealth, is it a coincidence that the Koch Brothers, billionaire owners of oil refineries, bankroll studies debunking global warming?"...

Why its no more coincidental than government employees using extorted tax dollars to foist fraudulent science regarding the climate...

The Koch Brothers at least use the money they earned to run their campaign...
