Fox & Friends: Obama Trying To “Gin Up” Debt Ceiling Crisis

If the $14.29 trillion debt ceiling isn’t raised, the government will default and be unable to borrow, pay its bills and pay investors bonds that are due. Sounds pretty bad, doesn’t it? Leave it to Steve Doocy and his panel on Fox & Friends to tell us that it’s no big deal. Perhaps it’s even a hoax, like global warming! The Fox commentators, starting at 00:48 below, tell us why there's no need to panic: according to the Pew Research Center, many Americans don’t believe August 2nd is a “hard and fast deadline” to raise the debt ceiling. If they don’t believe it, it must not be true, right? Based on this impeccable logic, Doocy is led to the inescapable conclusion that Obama is trying to “gin up” the default crisis “as if it’s the end of the world.” Watch:
