Right Wing Media Aghast At Ending Tax Breaks For Corporate Jets

The right wing media is fine with cuts affecting students, seniors, the poor, the middle class. But take away a perk for the wealthy and they cry “class warfare!” In this case, the republic is threatened by ending tax breaks for corporate jets. Fox Business host Eric Bolling speaks dismissively about loans for college students as compared to the needs of hedge fund managers and oil companies. According to Bolling, simply cutting entitlements is enough for deficit reduction. For Rush Limbaugh, taking away the jet deduction is part of President Obama’s “destruction of the economy.” Watch:

Bolling: [Obama] talked yesterday about corporate jets, hedge fund managers, oil companies, saying if they're not willing to give up their corporate jets then poor community college kids weren't going to be able to go to school, and God forbid we don't have a National Weather Service. That's not fair… It was a class warfare he set up, and it was completely off base. If we really just bring some entitlement spending in line and you can fix it.

Limbaugh: Here is Obama with corporate jet owners in the crosshairs again… This is just–dangerous is what this is. This is full-fledged demagoguery, and we're listening to this from the chief architect of the destruction of this economy. And once again, pitting groups of Americans against each other. One group -- his aim is for one group of Americans to hate and despise another group.

Media Matters has more right-wing media hysteria about the issue.

And Limbaugh - his aim isn't for one group of Americans to hate and despise another group?

Exactly–except I'd say that Limbaugh wants one group to hate and despise a whole bunch of groups.
