Tax Breaks For Corporate Jet Owners Are Only The Beginning

During the debt ceiling talks, the Republicans have been defending tax breaks for beleaguered corporate jet owners. Get rid of their tax breaks, you see, and we'll lose the millions of jobs that the owners are creating while in flight. Besides, if we can slash the Supplemental Nutrition Program for Women, Infants and Children and other parts of the social safety net to continue the Bush tax cuts for the wealthy, surely we can sacrifice for corporate jet owners. “Slowpoke” cartoonist Jen Sorensen shows us what will follow should the GOP successfully defend this worthy cause:

Jeff, cut this out already. Even though it may not have worked in the past, trickle down is bound to work...eventually. It's just about time to try it again. Get with the program.

Actually, I don't think the Republicans care about whether the money trickles down. They're just protecting the tax advantages of their privileged constituents.
