Romney: Americans Should "Get As Much Education As They Can Afford"

There’s one line in Mitt Romney’s speech yesterday that stands out. After stating that he agrees with President Obama “that every American deserves a fair shot,” he then said that everyone should “get as much education as they can afford.” So much for the “fair shot.” In Romney’s America, if you can’t afford college, tough luck. Contrast that with Obama, who said, “In America, higher education cannot be a luxury. It’s an economic imperative that every family must be able to afford.” Watch as Romney makes clear the difference between the two candidates:
