As a result of President Obama's Affordable Care Act, millions of women will gain access to no-cost birth control, one of the ways women's health care coverage will be expanded. Rep. Mike Kelly (R-PA), however, compared greater birth control access to September 11th and Pearl Harbor. Michael Eric Dyson covered Kelly's outrageous distortions of history. Watch:
KELLY: Today is the day that religious freedom died. I know in your mind you can think of the times that America was attacked. One is December 7 – that's Pearl Harbor Day. The other is September 11 — that was the day of the terrorist attack. I want you to remember August 1, 2012 — the attack on our religious freedom. That is a date that will live in infamy, along with those other dates.
