Continuing the hysteria that has gripped the right wing since Obama's election, Chuck Norris and his wife Gena issued a dire warning to America and, specifically, to evangelicals: vote against the president or our country “may be lost forever”–followed by “1,000 years of darkness.” Watch:

This is so sincere, lacking ad hominem language, yet disastrously wrong. The tip-off is the 1,000 years comment. How can otherwise intelligent people be so misguided?
Chip, I can't fathom their entire outlook. This is not the same as a rational opposing view.
Are we really at some undefined crossroads? Isn't this just right wing hyperbole designed to instill fear in simple minds?
