Romney Implies Obama Will Take God Off Coins

Just how desperate Mitt Romney has become is evident from a speech today in Virginia Beach in which he implied that President Obama wants to remove God from coins. To the crowd's approval, Romney pledged that he "will not take God off our coins." Watch Romney's shameless pandering:

ROMNEY: I will not take God out of our platform. I will not take God off our coins, and I will not take God out of my heart.

Should God be mentioned on our coins in the first place? Or is "God" really an amorphous expression of humility? Perhaps the latter

I'm not sure why God is on our coins. It seems to violate the separation of church and state. Also, does an expression of religiosity belong on money?

One thing's for sure: it is not a campaign issue, despite Romney's ridiculous attempt to make it one!
