Saturday Night At The Liberal Curmudgeon: Raphael Saadiq

Raphael Saddiq performed "Stone Rollin'" on the Jools Holland Show, England, 2011. Saddiq is one of today's finest practitioners of old-school soul and R&B (along with Sharon Jones & The Dap Kings, showcased here). For more on Saddiq's influences, see the PBS NewsHour.

Those voters, my fellow citizens, concern me greatly. And who says ignorance is the bread and butter of the Republican Party. Oh yeah... I do.

W.J., I think you meant your comment to apply to "Voices Of Romney Supporters In Ohio." Regardless, I agree with you: the GOP depends on voters voting against their interests.

Raphael Saadiq, huh? He's been off the SJI radar screen - although my library does contain a couple of rather impressive offerings. Perhaps this is in oversight in need of immediate correction. Thanks for the reminder; even if, for me, it came a few weeks late due to devine intervention (Hurricane Sandy) in our national election. That is, according to some conservative analysts. (I couldn't resist some commentary of my own.)

Raphael Saddiq has been on the WFUV radar screen. I suggest that he make it on to SJI's. http://stjamesinfirmary.net/
