Counterspin reports that, following the Exxon tar sands oil pipeline rupture in Arkansas, federal and local law enforcement blocked media access to the site because the company didn't want journalists there. Noting that this is not the first time such censorship on the part of Exxon and BP has prevailed, Counterspin concludes, "One has to wonder...why this particular category of perpetrator is allowed to control access to its own crime scene."
