According to Sen. James Inhofe (R-OK), families of victims from Newtown, Connecticut, are unable to reach their own conclusions regarding gun control; instead, they're being manipulated by President Obama. In fact, Inhofe told reporters, the gun control debate has nothing to do with them. Inhofe lamented the fact that the families met with senators in Washington to urge them to support gun control legislation, which he has vowed to filibuster:
"See, I think it's so unfair of the administration to hurt these families, to make them think this has something to do with them when, in fact, it doesn't," Inhofe said.
When it was suggested that the families of Newtown victims actually believe the gun debate pertains to them, Inhofe said, "Well, that's because they've been told that by the president."
