Saturday Night At The Liberal Curmudgeon: Graham Parker & The Rumour

Graham Parker & The Rumour performed "Long Emotional Ride" at WFUV Public Radio. You can also listen to all three songs from the set. The song is on the outstanding "Three Chords Good" album, which represented a reunion by the band after 31 years. The Village Voice noted Parker's continued acerbic wit in an article, "Graham Parker Is Still Pissed." "Three Chords Good" was the 2012 album of the year on the "St. James Infirmary" music show, hosted by my good friend Michael Mand.

Wow! Great choice! Graham Parker joins Van Morrison, Southside Johnny Lyon and the late Willy DeVille as the most "soulful" vocalists of the post-Otis Redding era. And I, of course, appreciate the plug. Thanks.

I agree with your assessment. Thanks to you for introducing me to Graham Parker's music.
