Cenk Uygur: The Monsanto Protection Act's Bought Republican

Cenk Uygur of the Young Turks reviews the Monsanto Protection Act, which prevents federal judges from halting the sale of genetically modified crops even if deemed harmful. This outrageous bill was pushed, according to Mother Jones, by Sen. Roy Blunt (R-MO), who has been paid off handsomely by GMO seed giant Monsanto and agribusiness PACS. Uygur cites other Republicans and Democrats who have shilled for Monsanto and provides an overview of our corrupt political system: "This is how you get the Monsanto Protection Act. You just go to Congress and you say, 'Who would like a legalized bribe?' And here's what you get: a lot of takers. Roy Blunt is at the head of that pack. That's how our government is bought every single day." Watch:
