"Ex-Gay" Group Leader Apologizes To LGBT Audience

Alan Chambers, president of the "ex-gay" group Exodus International, announced at the latter's 38th annual conference that the organization would disband following his and other leaders' conclusion that prayer and therapy cannot change or "cure" one's sexual orientation. Chambers and his group did tremendous harm disseminating the messages that homosexuality is a "sinful choice" and that one can "pray away the gay." The following two videos show Chambers apologizing to "ex-gay" survivors for the pain he caused, followed by their skeptical response to his plan to keep an undefined form of his organization alive.
