The Koch Brothers' Amazing Climate Change Denial Machine

We recently viewed the toxic cloud over Detroit, courtesy of oil barons Charles and David Koch. As shown in the video above by Australian filmmaker Taki Oldham, the two right-wing billionaire activists want to ensure that they can continue despoiling the environment through funding fraudulent climate-change denial "research" that also denies the vast consensus of climate scientists. After watching the video, check these links provided by Crooks and Liars:

Global Warming deniers -- the Koch Brothers, with Koch PAC are the fourth largest lobbyist in the oil and gas industry, funding $67,042,064 to groups denying climate change science since 1997. And emits over 300 million tons of greenhouse gases a year...

I'm not interested in the opinion of the "man on the street" when it comes to issues that require a certain amount of expertise. Certainly you would not ask the general public if sugary drinks cause cavities; you'd ask a consensus of dentists. 97% of climate scientists believe that there is a human component to climate change. To paraphrase an example given by Thomas Friedman: If your house had a fire and in a survey of 100 fire inspectors 97 said that it was due to faulty wiring and that a fire would likely happen again. 3 said that the cause was an unfortunate coincidence. Would you bet on the 97 or the three?

As a person trained in analyzing abstracts and journal articles, the first thing you look for is who funded the study before deciding on its credibility. The honest articles open or close with a voluntary disclaimer. The Koch Brothers' position lacks the credibility of peer review. This video exposes this definitively.

You're right on both counts: the scientific consensus and the credibility.
