In 2015, Republicans Still Don't Believe in Equal Pay for Women

During President Obama's State of the Union speech, the Republicans made their lack of enthusiasm for certain economic proposals quite clear. House Speaker John Boehner and his GOP colleagues sat still as Obama called for equal pay for women, overtime pay and a minimum wage raise. It's particularly notable that the GOP doesn't believe in ensuring that women receive equal pay for equal work, despite the fact that Obama reminded them, "It's 2015. It's time." I'm a conservative, not a spineless republican. though I vote for the republicans before any democrat candidate or cause. Do not throw all of us in the same redneck, gun loving, fried chicken eating barrel!I am a businessman and I have worked for small businesses and large corporations. I can think of many times as professionals we compared our pay and from gender to gender. If there was the least suspicion of anyone being paid less because their sex that individual went straight to the administration to threaten a suit. I know many local employers. I don't know of any that would pay a woman less simply because they're a female. Women make better employees than men in a lot of professional settings.
